DL Good Plumbers Ltd (DLG) was born from a legacy of skill, determination, and a commitment to excellence. In the 1950s, Donald “Don” Good completed his plumbing apprenticeship with distinction, earning the James Douglas Medallion, one of the highest honours in New Zealand’s plumbing industry. With that recognition, Don set out to build more than a business - he set out to build a reputation for quality, reliability, and innovation that would span generations.

What began with residential homes quickly expanded...

...into larger commercial projects. Don grew the company from a small, dedicated team into one trusted to work on Auckland’s first high-rise towers and hundreds of other commercial projects. DLG became part of the Good Brothers group, alongside Don’s brothers Ross and John, creating a family-owned foundation that continues to this day. Today, Don’s son David manages DLG, while his cousins oversee the group’s farming, forestry, and commercial property ventures - keeping the family ethos central to everything they do.

DLG continues to grow...

...employing skilled commercial plumbers across Auckland and nationwide. Many of our key supervisory staff have decades of experience with the company, some between 10 and 50 years, carrying forward the knowledge and standards instilled from the very beginning. Based at Keeling Road in Henderson since the 1960s, DLG has expanded its workshops and offices to offer a full range of trade services while maintaining deep connections with the local community. 

From universities and hospitals...

...to retirement homes, supermarkets, and student accommodation, DLG has been trusted by major contractors on some of the country’s most complex commercial projects. Over the past fifteen years, the company has worked on five major prison contracts, including Ngawha, Springhill, Mt Eden ACRP, Wiri Men’s Prison, and Auckland East Prison, delivering high-quality solutions under demanding conditions. Our ongoing projects continue to push the boundaries of technical expertise and innovation, reflecting our commitment to excellence in every job.
